Apple News: How the Apple Watch will work
Apple’s newly released WatchKit documentation offers us an insight into how the new class of device will look, feel, and work. I’ve been digging through the documentation looking for clues as to what the new device has to offer and what new features it will bring to the Apple ecosystem. We get the screen sizes and pixel densities for both sizes of Apple Watch. App designers will have to design the app to work on both screen sizes. Both displays fall into the “retina” display category. Apple is introducing a lot of new concepts when it comes to interacting with the Apple Watch (and how the Apple Watch interacts with the owner).

Technology News: Defining the value of continuous deployment for an Agile world
As DevOps pushes deeper into enterprises, companies are beginning to understand the value of methodologies and approaches based upon Agile. However, many do not go much further with the technology’s larger-value features, which include continuous and Agile deployment. And many in enterprise IT fear this less-understood concept as a path to lower productivity and application quality. On the ops side, many businesses lack the organization and tools to make a continuous deployment work in their companies. They don’t understand the approaches and technology, so the traditional methods continue to be safe harbors that deliver diminishing value to the business. However, the value of DevOps and emerging concepts such as continuous deployment is clear. To dispel the fears about continuous and Agile deployment, businesses must take control of the deployable application artifacts, understanding who created them and for what reason as well as how they derived them and from what sources.

Photography News: Photographing in Airports
Ahh, the joy of travel photography, who doesn’t love that? But like everything in life, all that glitters is not gold. For travel photography, you actually need to travel, and in many circumstances, air travel and lengthy waits in airports are common. Nobody likes being stranded in a terminal for hours, or experiencing delays, missed or long connections, all of which happen pretty often. But it can be different for us, the ones who embrace photography. Instead of just sitting there doing nothing, we can have some fun doing what we enjoy the most. At least, that’s what I do – and believe me, the time goes by much quicker when you are there with your camera in hand. Despite the obvious of not photographing in prohibited areas, you shouldn’t encounter any problems wandering and snapping away. I was a bit skeptical the first time, especially in the US, however, I’ve never had any issue. Perhaps you are thinking that there are not interesting things to photograph in airports. Well, think again. These can be rather compelling places; they come in all forms, shapes and colors.
